SINGLE SHAFT SHREDDER
Single-shaft rotary shredders from 3E are robust size-reduction machines that cut and shear material with a rotating rotor and hydraulically driven pusher. They process a wide range of feedstocks – from wood, plastics and paper to light metals – wherever small, consistent particle size and high throughput are required. The WTB series are swinging arm shredders that utilize gravity to feed materials onto the rotor shaft. Engineered for versatile performance, they excel at processing a wide spectrum of materials, categorized as follows:

This design ensures efficient material guidance and consistent shredding, making the WTB series ideal for recycling and waste processing scenarios involving mixed or bulky items.
The blades of the RDF high-speed shredder are crafted from high-quality alloy steel, mounted on the rotor shaft in a V-shaped configuration with ample spacing. Boasting high rotor speed and substantial torque, this shredder can efficiently handle a diverse range of materials. Its processing capacity ranges from 3 to 15 tons per hour, making it particularly suited for pre-processed municipal solid waste, pre-shredded textiles, plastic films, wood materials, and more.

Technical features
Rotor
Fitted with multiple cutters, which first shave material off the bulk and then carry the chips through the cutting zone between rotor knives and counter-knives for repeated shearing, delivering efficient size reduction and good particle-size control. Different rotor and knife configurations can be selected to suit the material, reliably shredding everything from rigid plastics and thick sections to soft films. The cutters are wear-resistant and reversible, allowing multiple edge changes and reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

Feeding system
A horizontal hydraulic ram with a serrated pusher face feeds the material into the rotor. The ram is driven by an independent hydraulic power pack and can cycle automatically according to load or be controlled manually when required. A shock-protected hydraulic circuit ensures stable, continuous feeding of bulky and long parts while protecting the ram for a longer service life.
Safety system
A side-mounted emergency stop, fixed guards around all moving parts, and interlocked access doors with tongue-operated safety switches; opening any guarded area immediately cuts power and prevents accidental contact with moving parts during operation or maintenance.
Driving system
High-efficiency electric motor directly coupled to a heavy-duty gearbox. The gearbox is mounted on a flexible base to isolate cutter impacts from the drive. On medium and larger models, a fluid coupling is installed between motor and gearbox to ensure smooth start-up and protect the drivetrain under shock loads.
Ergonomic design
The screen cover is supported by gas struts, allowing one person to lift and hold it open easily for routine inspection and maintenance, and heavier components are equipped with convenient lifting handles to make handling safer and easier.
